bio:

Eric Moore is a songwriter/performer who has recently relocated to Anchorage, AK. After having spent a couple of years writing and performing in San Francisco, playing all sorts of venues across the city- clubs, bars, cafes, bookstores, practice spaces, and the infamous Circus Head, Eric recorded a three-song demo with fellow performer and friend John Swerdan as well as a full-length studio cd entitled Dead Bird Songs which is now available for sale online (just follow the link on the homepage) at cdbaby.com or through digital download at iTunes as well as a number of other online retailers.
The songs of Eric Moore are stripped down arrangements written for voice and guitar that try to work throuh very personal thoughts and reflections that are based upon the people and situations around him. Often lonely and with a haunting quality, the lyrics of Eric Moore are woven into highly memorable yet untraditional melodies and expressions making the songs, simple as they are, complete in thought and emotion.
Having played all sorts of venues in the Bay area such as The Hotel Utah, Cafe Du Nord, The Red Devil Lounge, The Voodoo Lounge, The Brainwash, The Stork Club, and many others Eric has performed alongside a number of widely diverse performers...from singer-songwriters to scremo/punkrock bands. If you're from the bay area you may have had the chance to see some of these other folks, and if you haven't yet...you should, or at least try to find copies of their performances: Katie Bursk, Jay Hinton, John Swerdan, The Jonah Kit, Jo Boyer, The New Black Trio, JJ Schultz, With Eyes Like Static, Will Franken, and the infamous Baywolf.
